I' ve started making my own decals because of situations similar to yours CamJim.
I just happened to have an Ink jet printer (works better than a Laser printer ) for my lap top. I downloaded a free photo shop program call Photoscape, then searched the inter web for pictures etc. to use for my decals. I then bought some decal paper from Ebay ( white and clear ) if you have any white color in your decals you hafta use white decal paper as the clear paper won't reproduce white color.
After printing, u hafta use some sort of sealant for the decals. Future works and so does Model Master Semi-gloss . These are the only 2 i have usd so far, You really don't hafta spend the extra $ on decal fixing spray either.
