Indeed mgh, that is one hammered truck for Utah. But definitely a good example of heavy rust effect. You are certainly correct, Tarasdad, concerning the beating that road salt gives vehicles but mgh's truck there is none that common. On the other hand we don't use near the volume of salt here in southern Utah as they do up north. It would be nice to get away from the use of salt. But, I guess when you live in a state where salt is in abundance...

Road salt will do that worse and faster than humid Gulf of Mexico air. Saw that plenty of times when I was living in northern Utah.

Those of you in more humid climes my be used to this, but for me out in dry Utah, this was an exception. Took pictures with phone, and wish I had walked up to get some close-up shots.
