I've been building models as long as I can remember. I have done all types of genres from aircraft, armor to various scales of military miniatures a.k.a. figures and may even try my luck at wooden ships. I am a career military man with 10 years in the Army and 20 in the Air Force. So I've been around most of the real things my whole adult life. Sometimes I build models to remember the times that I worked on the real things. I also enjoy the historical aspects of modeling, it is fun to do the research on subjects that you are modeling and to use your imagination to put yourself back in a time when these machines were used or in the case of the figures when those people lived. I think I'm a whole it's very relaxing; even though I know we all have had are frustrating moments in the hobby. It is always nice to sit at your hobby desk and just take a break from the world outside.
