What TarnShip said, and a bit of insight from my experience. When I was in my early twenties and not doing much of anything with my life, a wise man told me to "start anywhere, just start." Sounds pretty simple, but it was exactly what I needed to hear, and it's served me well in lots of large and small choices since.

So I would encourage you to do just that. I would love to learn from your years of modeling experience!

Write the book.

And if you are hesitant about your writing style or other thoughts about the mechanics of doing it, just have someone else go over it after you get done. Remember that the very best authors all have editors that work their books over, so that part is nothing to be leery of at all.

Just get it all typed up at first,,,,,,,good writers also know that the first draft is never the best draft,,,,and don't be afraid of re-writes, those are also a normal part of writing.

I am a Technical Writer, so I would be of little help to you, but, maybe you know a friend that can step up for you,,,,,,,or someone that knows a writer or anyone else that already edits biographies or fiction,,,,,,both of those types are pretty close to the type of story you will be telling.

Be sure to let us know when it is finished, though,,,,it would be great to read another's journey throughout years of modeling.

well, seeing how folks are viewing this but not replying, I suppose I shall..

now being the "dear friend"(thank you) you are speaking of, don't need to say any more.

to ya'll that look at this, give your thoughts!!

I've only known TB for 3 years, but the knowledge he has given me is incredible!! I want him to document all these things to share with others, but he's hesitant about it.

why, I don't know...

Hi , Ya'll ! I have a dilemma . I have a very dear friend who thinks I should do something . He wants me to write a book about My modeling from a child to today . There's a problem though . Emotional at times , yes I am . Quick to temper , That too . The problem is odd and by my posts here you may not think so . I don't like to toot my own horn in public . Toot your horn ? you say . Yes .I have been building now for nigh on to 60 years and it shows sometimes . There was a fine line I crossed when I defied my Dad and went to live with Nana . This meant Public school in a medium sized large city , stead of down in the farm community where I was raised part of my life . And Shop classes . Metal , Wood and Ceramics were some . Should I even entertain the thought ? And even with a book about writing books where do I start ? I don't want my skills with thousands of media in miniature , that I was exposed to , just completely pass with me . No that's not ego talking either . Can I get some input here ? Thank you for your time . Tanker - Builder
