Models in Barnes and Noble

Good to hear.  I guess they fall under "quiet things to do on a rainy day"?  Much like the rest of the store.  

I noticed that as well around December of last year.  I thought it was just something that they hoped to capitalize on during the holidays.  

They still have a couple kits in my local B&N store.

Yeah, that li'l Airfix B-25 looks fun...

They also had a very nice paper model, a Viking ship.  I bought one and it seems like a great kit at a super price.

not that I NEED to have another place to tempt me into increasing my ever growing stash  

I recall seeing some model kits at a regional bookstore called Books-a-Million years ago as well as within the last few years. Usually some sort of Gundam or otherwise collectible model as opposed to a regular hobby shop selection.
