I think the last TorCon was about 5 years ago.  Ottawa (CapCon) goes every other year.  Hamilton is every year, usually in February.  Ajax is every October the weekend before Hallowe'en.  I try to get to all of them but in my opinion, I prefer the Ajax show to all the rest.  At least that's where I seem to spend the most money at the vendors tables.

I think there's one hosted at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in the spring.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

Toronto Hobby Show, what happened??

There used to be a hobby show held in Toronto every year (specifically Mississauga), and it seems to have disappeared the past few years.  The only one I can find is a Toronto RC hobby show, which doesn't appear to be the same thing at all.

The Toronto show used to be amazing!  Huge building, tons of models, board games, RC, video games, you name it.  Also, it was held every Fall, which seemed to be a perfect time as the weather turns cold and your thoughts go to staying inside and working on models.  My dad used to take me when I was a kid and 5 years ago I took my dad to it and we had a great time.  I was hoping to take my dad again, but it's gone.

Does anyone in the Toronto area know what happened to it?  Or, does anyone know if there are plans to resurrect it?  For such a big city like Toronto, it seems like such a shame that there isn't a hobby show anymore.  Surely there were be enough interest I would think.
