Well, MarauderCon is over. We just got back about an hour ago. Seven of us went and came home with 34 awards, about a dozen raffle ticket wins, left some empty spots on the vendor tables, and a day of good times with old friends and some new ones. Good thing we had a minivan as one of the vehicles.

Lots of great deals at the tables. One vendor had a full rack of Vallejo Model Air paints and Washes. Another section of his table had many of the 7 and 8 bottle sets along with the larger sets. Loads of different model bases such as carrier decks, grass and dirt, cement blocks, etc.

I only took 1 medal, but it was a gold for 1st place in Category 52 Humor in Modeling. The first time I've won a gold.Big Smile It was my Red Planet R/C Club showing the Pegasus Creature from War of the Worlds taking a Sopwith Camel off from the club airstrip.

The subject of the trip home and dinner at the Red Lobster was who's getting what ready for the next show.

We'll start planning a meeting for the middle of December. One of the topics will be "What show do we go to next and how much time do we have to build?"

MarauderCon 2014 is this weekend in Baltimore Md.    Hope to see some of you there.

Seven of us are going there from the Downingtown/West Chester Area with quite a few builds to enter. We're also entering a club entry of planes used during the Spanish Civil War 1936-1939.  If this old brain is working right, I think there are 15 planes in the group build.  Hope to bring back some awards and raffle wins with us. That's in addition to what we pick up at the vendor tables.  Good thing we're going in a couple of vehicles. Wink
