Your dogs sounds like a relative of my own pooch, who seems to believe that if he can get it-- whatever "it" may be-- near his mouth, it deserves to be eaten. Plastic, wooden clothes pins, paper, metal (yes, metal), you name it, he's chewed on it. If you wait a day or so, you'll probably see the remains of that canopy, although I doubt you'll want to reuse it!

ha-ha....If you want to send me a model, I'm sure my pooch will oblige.

I'll post a picture as soon as I figure out re-attaching the pitot tube.

I was thinking he was offering a service to guys who didn't want to deal with weathering.

We need photographic "evidence."  One of my wife's cats attacked the nose of a B-52 I've been working on, but only caused some annoyance and minor repairs.  I can only imagine what a dog could do.

Awwww, man. That's rotten AND hilarious at the same time!! I love how you began the story. I thought we were gonna learn some really neat new tip on weathering! Great story!

Do you want that "vintage" look?  A look that just screams of "I've been through a lot"?  Realistic scratches?  Maybe a few dents?  Decals that that have that well worn look?

Just give that build to my dog.

I come home to my P-40, in a few pieces, and not on its base.  It seems the pooch got a hold of it.  So far, I've been able to re-attach anything that came off.  But I'm missing part of the canopy.  I tore the room apart, and I can't find it.  I'm thinking he ate it?

Sigh.

This one hadn't made it to its display case (I'm waiting for the case to arrive.)

I will say, he's almost a better "weatherer" than I am.

I'll get pics up when the repair job is done.
