technical advice
Posted by Sako538 on Sunday, January 18, 2015 2:20 AM

hey everyone, I am looking making a wwii bomber for my father-in-law (his great uncle was shot down in a wellington).  I want to make it accurate, I know planes squadron was RAF 150, I know the serial number was Z1608 and the code was JN-M.  My question is, are these the numbers that I see on the sides of the bombers in old photographs? I would like to make it as accurate as possible as a tribute,

Thanks for any helpl,

Yes, those are the numbers and letters visible in photos

in this photo, the serial number, "HE 575" is in the smaller red letters/numbers over the horizontal stabilizer.

The Squadron ID and plane ID letters/numbers are in large red markings flanking the roundel
