I loved my old vacuform! Ahh, the odor of hot plastic, burned fingers, mom yelling about the smell.

A parent today buying one of these for their kid would be reported to child protective services!!!

We had one up for auction last December at the local IPMS chapter. Actually make that two ago since I skipped this past December's auction. Anyways, let's just say that item fetched a pretty penny amongst the members who could...

Had one years and years ago but it got lost in a move.  I cried for a week.  Now I cry every time I see what they are going for and wish I still had mine.

Another lawsuit in the making was the Kenner Mold Master.
Pour in the "plastic" ( really a wax ) let the heating element melt the pellets and then push into plastic molds - and frequently hot overspill onto a hand holding the target mold.Surprise
Fun making those tanks, artillery, trucks,  jeeps and soldiers hot out of the molds.Big Smile

My son found a Mattel vac-u-form at a Good Will store last week. It was still in the original package. He paid $1 for it.

Ah yes, those dangerous toys of the 50s,60s, and 70s... it's amazing that any of us survived such dangers... riding bikes without a helmet, riding in the backs of pickup trucks, able to buy paint and model glue without an adult...
