Yes, I got the Revell kit.  It would be cool to build 4 or 5 to form a wolf pack.

Hope you got ROG's Type VII/C. It's excellent.

Yes, the U-Boat in Chicago is the U-505.  The capture of it described by the author Hans Goebbeler, a control room crew member of the U-505, is beyond unbelievable.

If you ever get to Chicago, take a run through the U-boat there at the Museum of Science and Industry.  Gives you a whole new appreciation of the conditions they served in.  Even ans a kid of around 13-14 it was tight and cramped.  IIRC, that is the same boat?

I was never interested in the naval warfare in WWII until I picked up a book titled "Steel Boat, Iron Hearts."

One of the most amazing WWII stories I've ever read.  Thanks to this book, I've ordered a few books on the battle of the Atlantic and a 1/144 U-Boat kit.

I couldn't recommend the book enough.
