Things like weapons and ladders should not be any problem. With the cockpit, as I mentioned, it is doable, just be ready for a little extra work.

Thanks guys, I was using the F6F kit as an example. I was looking more along the lines or weapons, boarding ladders and possibly cockpits. I will definitely keep that in mind if I do decide to get extras for my kits.

Sometimes the things don't work on the kit they are designed for, LOLs.

As said, switching out has a risk factor.

Pretty often there'll be some answers on www.

I have used AM sets on kits they were not designed of. In fact, I am currently using 7 AM sets designed for a Dragon kit on an old Airfix kit. It often can mean some extra trimming, either of the kit or AM and you have to study the instructions more carefully as the kit part numbers given in the AM sets won't apply.

But doing it with cockpits and things is one thing, doing it with this wing fold set is another. Not sure I would chance it. If the dimensions are off, its going to be a real pain.

I have read where other modelers have taken an aftermarket set for one particular brand of model, and make it work on another brand. Some have good success with it, others don't. I guess what I'm saying is.... just hafta try it yerself to see.

It's for the Eduard kit only as noted on the package.

The pe set will tell you what kit it is designed for. It's use on another kit may or may not work.

I know this is going to sound like a really dumb question. But when you are searching for accessory kits and conversion kits and you see something like this 1/72 F6F Hellcat Wing Folded set (Eduard) does that mean you can only use it on the kit manufactured by Eduard or can you use it on an 1/72 F6F kit? I have never really bought much accessory or conversion kits so I'm kind of out of my depth here. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
