Hi all it wasn't till i finished the 1/8 Kwak and put it next to the 1/6 Honda I realised how much of a difference there is in size.

I've put a 1/12 there as well just to so the progression, it would be great if they made a 1/12 a 1/10 a 1/8 and a 1/6 of the same model the effect would be amazing when put together. I for one would buy all four kits.

Really nice builds. Yep, it's the law of cubes. Double the scale- increase volume by eightfold.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Is that right doubling the scale increases the volume 8 times.

Yep, twice as long, twice as wide, twice as high.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

It's like the picture of P-51's stacked together from 1/144 to 1/24. Too bad car manufacturers go back and forth between 1/25-1/24; makes it hard to place side by side for comparisons.

It not only increases volume by a factor of eight, but if wall thickness scale up too -they may not half to, depending on whether strength or ease of detailing mold is the issue-, then the weight goes up by a factor of eight also, since if casting wall thickness increases by same ratio, weight is proportional to volume.
