Today I noticed a product in a local hobby store called a 3Doodler.

It uses either ABS, PLA or "Flexy"
I presume someone took the heating tip off a 3D Printer and created the 3Doodler.
Kinda expensive at $99 and, even with a 40 pct discount coupon, I'm not certain if it useful as a serious tool for model builders.
Perhaps someone could scrounge parts from a couple of old inkjet printers to make a budget 3D printer but would seem to be more in the realm of an experienced electronics hobbyist.
