Kit received is not what I expected. Options?

So I had ordered the the USMC LAV-25 Piranha from Sprue Brothers. I ordered it specifically for the "25th anniversary of Desert Shield/Storm" GB. It was deployed there and the box art showed it in an environment that would be found in Kuwait/ Iraq.

But, when I opened it, the markings and paint scheme was only for a UN vehicle and a brow-black-green, I guess, European camouflage.

None of those are particularly interesting to me.  So what would be my options? I could:

-Mail it back, but only if they pay the shipping (I am not that desperate to get rid of it to pay the shipping (again))

-Paint it in dessert colors but I have no markings for it, so no GB valid (better option)

-Leave it on the shelf and build it sometimes in the future (least favorite option)

All opinions welcome.......

Cheers

The LAVs arrived in theater in NATO three color camo. They were later repainted with locally acquired Sand paint and some markings were applied. Often quite crudely... So you could do it in the three color scheme for Desert Sheild, or do it in the later Sand field applied scheme making up your own masks for the inverted V ID marks. Do some image searches of LAV-25s 1990 or 1991 to see what I mean.

Thanks for the advice gentlemen. Stick, that sounds like a good idea. So lets keep the LAV on the list but you may as well ad the Land Rover since I have it.

Cheers...

Contact Sprue Bros and explain your issue   They will send you a paid mailing label which will allow you to return the item post free (to you)

I recently ordered a Revell F-18, which the box art showed Canadian markings.    What I received was a F/A18 in USN markings.  The item numbers were the same.   I told them that I was interested in the Canadian markings & would prefer that kit.      They sent the label,  I returned the kit, and they credited by account
