That my friend is probably part of their demise. You have to be up with the times.

Tojo - I went to find out if he had a website but saw he doesn't. Too bad, I could have bought that IL-2 Sturmovick kit online.

Yea,they were old school,no internet sales

Good haul Anthony. I'll bet you got them on the cheap.

In case you missed this post from about 3 years ago, I got these kits from a guy for only $5 each. Yes, you heard me correctly, $5 each!!! Since many were kits I had no interest, or were dupes, I sold them for a very pretty penny on ebay.

Nice score on the IL2 Strurmovik. I've been wanting to get the Tamiya one. Nice score on all the kits too. Why are they closing? Owners retiring?

Does anybody know of a good hobby shop in Jersey, I live in Union county

We still got Maplewood Hobbies in Maplewood, there is one on Broad St in Ridgefield can't remember the name. For roadtrips I heard people speak of Stevens International and there still might be one in Redbank. The Allentown PA area has a couple.

That sorta sale occurs occasionally at a local Hobby Town.

Cost is usually marked down from a price that is more than MSRP, so sale isn't really what I would consider a sale.
OTOH, at least the store has paints not carried by HL.

Stik,I do have a smaller one only 10 min away, but not in the same class as the one closing, but he does carry a good selection of paints and supplies in addition to a small selection of kits.

This guy is running,buy 2 kits at regular prices,which are somewhat inflated,and get 2 free,came to about $ 35 a kit.

Panther G or Tiran 5?

A hypothetical question...

Wow! I just built that Tiran 5 except for the tracks (in progress).

It's a really really nice model. I forget about Tamiya until I do one. Like a good cigar and two fingers of "Breaking and Entering".

The TC guy with the aviators and beard is pretty cool.
