Also the online order side is running over the mom and dad local hobby shops.Purchasing kit collectionS will not help .I seen a local hobby shop have plastic models and Diecast cars  make it at 45$ a pop.Thats an idea  for one who has any intention of starting a hobby shop.Ebay is an additional option For the future store.

That's odd. I had no trouble placing several orders through the website. True, it seems pretty dated technology-wise, like something from the 1990s, but it worked for me.

Unfortunate that another LHS bites the dust but that website is absolutely useless. I guess it's a good headsup for anyone who can physically get to the store. :(

Hobby shops who don't support other hobby items like RC will eventually close. The money is just not at the plast model side of the house.A plastic model hoby shop is rare.

Hobby shop closing

Lighthouse Hobbies in Townsend MA (Google Lighthouse Hobbies for their website) is closing and offering deep discounts on all items. This appears to be what I think of as a traditional hobby shop with a range of goods in a number of areas. They have a number of plastic kits and what appears to be a large but dwindling selection of Testors and Model Master paints, as well as a wide range of hobby supplies, including model trains, rockets, "science kits" (not sure what they are, but sounds interesting) and other fun stuff. I hate to see another LHS go, but a deal is a deal.
