I seem to remember there was a plastic molded part that had 500 pound bombs molded into it and screwed into the bomb bay to.  The noise maker would be just above the plate and controled by a small switch beind the bomb bay doors. The noise maker did a reasonable immatation of a "D" model.  Especially if you never heard one.

I have built a few of these kits, including the original when it came out in the late 60s and only put the noise maker in the first one I built.

I think the electric motor drives what is essentially a little siren, to generate the whine.  Of course, a siren is also a centrifugal blower, so there is some airflow noise.

Some of the kits in that era, this might be one, had a display box that could be created from the cardboard of the box.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Heres one on ebay that has a shot of the instructions where the noise maker fits onto the supplied electric motor.  Batteries went in the bomb bay with 2 screws to kep the bomb bay door closed.

What made the "jet sound" in that old kit & what did it sound like?
