I'm really happy to have FSM's DVD collection of back issues for the 25 years since the magazine started (1982-2007). A) It's searchable and B) it takes up next to nothing in shelf space.
Can this be done on a regular basis - say every 5 years? Love the printed magazines but they take up too much space and can be recycled.
Anyone else like this idea?

I like the idea of an updated version.
Ought to be easy enough considering the magazine is created on a computer.
I agree with the idea of updates, but not a reissue of the entire series every time. Why not just issue the content published since the last update, instead? Also, I could see having the choice between getting a disc or getting a download.

I phrased it wrong. Yes, new DVD-ROMs with 5 years worth of FSM. Leave the first 25 year disk alone. Downloads might be a problem. There's a lot of data there.
Is it possible to read the articles on the DVD on the iPad? Then, I'd buy the DVD in a heart beat.
