looking for a 1/350 scale Replenishment ship
Posted by rescueranger01 on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 12:55 PM

I have been looking for a kit for a fleet oiler in the 1/350 scale I have seen some in the 400 range but the battle group I am trying to construct is based off of 1/350.

I could probally take a liberty ship and modify it I know there are to U.S.S Jeremiah O'Brien and the SS John W. Brown. I also found the SKYWAVE/PIT-ROAD TOWADA Modern Japanese Navy Fleet Replenishment Ship realy detaile fllet oiler BUT....the scale is 1/700.

I'm telling ya whats a guy to do :-)

Yeah, unless you're willing to go 700, not much out there in plastic. Trumpeter's got the Sacramento and Detroit I was considering but 1:350 is my preference, too.

Maybe check www.modelshipforum? Lots of knowledgable guys over there.

Heller make a nice kit of the fleet tanker La Seine in 1/400, closer to you preferred scale. Only available in their task force set now.Look it up on Internet it's one of the best kits available of fleet tanker.
