Finding good aftermarket parts
Posted by Dolphin24 on Sunday, December 6, 2015 9:49 AM

I know there are big names like eduard and voyager but it seems I hear of a new aftermarket company every week. Is there a good website that 6ou can type in the kit you have and get a list of accessory kits for it? When you decided on a kit, how do you guys go about finding aftermarket kits for it. My Google results are seeminglyou only scratching the surface. To get specific I'm working on an lav-m from trump. The eduard pe set costs more than the kit itself and is really the only thing I could find besides a afv club stryker upgrade kit which doesn't come with a great description of what exactly the kit contains and subjects are compatible.

Thank you

Scale mates is a place to look for that sort of association between base kits and aftermarket accessories for that particular kit. Great Models webstore (before they were gobbled up by Sprue Brothers) had that sort of association as well, as long as they carried that particular AM item. Since you are working on an LAV, you may want to hit up some armor centric websites such as Perth, Armorama, etc. And ask in the armor forum here for "Trumpeter LAV Aftermarket?" specificly. There are some folks here who can probably help you out better than your very generic question header here.

As for me, I keep my AM requirements simple for stuff like stowage and such.
