Round 2 seems to be repopping the kits from several of the old brands.

R2 did buy the Lindberg and Hawk brands

Testors did release a number 1/24th scale car kits with meta bodies and other parts.  These were mostly street rods and of course the trailer.  Their most complex metal kits were released under the Licoln Mint label.  The 69' Judge GTO was really well detailed.  They also did a number of Ford pickup trucks.

They also sold some large scale metal engine kits.  Some are still available from Round Two under the Hawk label.

So who do you contact now if you need parts replacement?

The Testors "Golden Age" 1/48 kits were ex-Hawk and they were old by the time Testors released them.  I've read that their Curtis seaplane racer dated back to the late-40s, early 50s and was one of the first plastic models sold in the United States.

Over the years Testors repackaged Italeri, Fujimi, Heller, Johan and even some early DML kits.  They also reisued a number of Hawk and IMC kits.  They also did some new tool kits, the U2 and Blackbird acraft kits among others, as well as speculative eforts like the F19.  They als did some UFO related kits.  During the late nineties and later they also did some street rods.

Some of the street rods and the many of the ICM kits are now made by Round Two under the Lindberg name.  Many of the imported kits are still being made by their origenal manufactorers

Check the Testors website. I do know that Italeri is producing some of theTestors kits nowadays.

I already did and it brought me to rustoleum and it shows the kits they have but the person at the phone and the email that I sent them replied that they don't manufacture the kits so its kind of confusing.

It seems like the phone number provided on their instruction sheet is for Rustoleom and when asked they said they took over the paint products but not their kit and they don't know who owns the Testor kit. Google did not produce any info.
