Some great builds there carlos, and nice range of subjects as well.

Some really nice work, Stik!  I'm not big on naval subjects, but your Chicago stands out for me.  Good one!

Great looking work Stik, I like the MXY 7 and SU-76M. I like them all but those two were my favorite. Great job on the chinese figures.....Sorry Stik, I just noticed the Typhoon and man that looks awesome.

I'll echo what everyone here has said:  Great builds!!!  My favorite is the Typhoon.  You know me...I'm a sucker for anything Monogram.  World War 1 planes aren't really my"thing" but, man alive!, I really like that Albatross!  The finish on it is amazing.  If I could get a WW1 plane to turn out like that, I'd start doing them.

And that Testors Ohka.  I love the simplicity of those old Hawk kits.  Your finish really looks flawless.  What really surprises me is how small the verticle stabs are on that craft.  Did the stand come with the kit?

Many thanks guys for all the kind words! I really appreciate it! This was the first time that I had done a Sci Fi subject in at least 20 years, and nearly double that for a biplane. And more work on bases to boot, learning as I go.

Eric, yes the stand did come with the Ohka. Otherwise I would have had to have come up with some sort of dolly/cart for it to sit upon. And after doing the Albatross, I will say that the finish on them is not has hard as you think. K.I.S.S. That was all hand painted except for the airbrushed gloss and flat coats. A nice change of pace. And like you I am a sucker for anything Monogram so this year should see an opponent for my Albatross of Monogram lineage... stay tuned.

Great year Stik! Wow, i hope to get that many projects done in a year! They all look excellent, I love the Russian Jet, and the M113 on the Base, those are my favorites, along with the typhoon. I hope to do a ship or boat this year, and a Biplane as well.

Templar, the technique I used was simplicity in action. I hand brushed the base colors (slightly different for the wood and fabric), let it dry for a few days, then I used a small bit of make up sponge super glued to a tooth pick to apply the green camo blotches. I would dip the sponge in the paint, blot it out on an index card to get the heaviest amounts off, then went to work on the areas to be covered. Geez Stick, that's ALL good stuff !  I especially like the Oka a fav of mine since I was a kid.  I remember buying them for less than 50 cents at the drug store.

Yes those Old Hawk kits really take me back and i am constantly looking for them to build again ( without the firecrackers this time LOL )

   A group of  really nice builds!  My favorites are the Klingon ship and your Albatross.  Had to go back and read your WIP.  I'd like to see you do a WWW 1/32 in that same paint scheme.  For some reason I really like the look of that scheme and I'm going to try your techinque on one of my 40k builds.  Thanks for sharing.

Knox, I did not think of sci fi/fantasy stuff, but yes, that sponge dapple technique would be awesome on those sorts of subjects. I like that idea very much and look forward to seeig your results! As far as a WWW kit goes, unless I win the powerball, those kits are out of my budget for the forseeable future. But perhaps one day I may do one, and that particular subject would be great to do.

MV, a muscle car eh? Hmmmmmm... Well I do have a hot rod and Formula 1 car in my stash... perhaps one day I can do a truly diverse year and have one of those in there as well...

freem, the Albatross has actually got me excited to do an opponent build. Something my moejoe has been lacking for awhile... deep desire to do something new... and I just received what I need to do the build in the mail yesterday so stand by...

Thats quite a line up Stik! Im not anywhere near that number.
