Whats on your shelf?

A-1H Super Wings, I have built trumpeters, it went together nicely, But Super Wings refuses to painted or glued, it is soft and oily. I have tried to start this kit twice, and twice I have packed it back up. Currently working ont the 1/32 king fisher. be aware that some female parts need attention before gluing, no pun intended.

Ok, I have four I'm working on now, 1/48 Airfix Spitfire Mk. VB, 1/35 Fine Molds Type 4 CHI-TO, 1/24 Pegasus Spinosaurs, and a 1/12 Tamiya Yamaha YZR-M1. I'm building all of them for Group Builds, and they are all in various stages of completion.

I'm going to have to look up Super Wings, I'm not that familiar with them.

I'm currently working on the Trumpeter 1/350 Ticongaroga for the Carrier GB, a departure from the aircraft kits I usually build. Have quit a few kits in the stash and a wish list for some of the new releases that came out. My next to build, top five list of kits would most likey be the Trumpeter A-6A or E. The 1/200 Arizona, Academy 1/32 F-18D, Revell He-111 or the Tamiya F-4J Phantom.

I am working on an old Monogram F4F-4 Wildcat. The wing is stamped 1961, this was a bagged kit i landed on ebay about 10 years ago. It came in a lot of 10 bagged kits (no boxes).

The fit is horrible, the engineering for the wing placement is completeliy insane. There is no cockpit, just a guy you glue to the bulk head. The wings fold but I glued them in place. The wings look like crap where they meet at the fold, they are not a smooth fit, but I left them as is. I am trying to get this thing built in 5 days, that includes everything, paint and all. Kit is being put together exactly as it was intended, no aftermarket or scratch building on this one.

I am about 90% done building a KC-97 in 1/72 scale for the Crew Chief who flew on her.

Once that is finished I have a 1/72 F-4J from VF-21 to build for the sister of the plane captain. Then I can get back to building WWII planes for my collection.

Unique for me I have two builds going at the same time.  Started working on a Dragon 1/32 P-51D American Volunteer Group 'What If'.  Basically a P-51D dressed in the AVG camo and markings in this case Chuck Older's aircraft.  Plane's gloss coat is drying in prep for decals.  Using the AVG sharks' mouth instead of a P-51 Sharkmouth as Col Older's aircraft had a unique set of teeth.  Will see how well I can get the P-40 decal to fit onto the P-51D nose!

Also working on a 1/48 Tamiya P-51D using Warbird Decals Thunderbirds P-51D so also a 'What If' build of a P-51D in Thunderbirds markings.  Have the cockpit together and various other elements painted.

On the bench:  Academy 1/72 B-17G 'Blue Hen Chick';  1/48 Tamiya Mustang III; Kitty Hawk 1/32 P-39.

Completed:  1/48 Tamiya P-51D Mustang - 'Show Bird', 1/32 Dragon P-51D  Flying Tigers 'What if'; 1/32 Tamiya P-51D Big Beautiful Doll

Group build:1/48 Tamiya Mustang III; 1/48 Tamiya P-51D Show Bird
