Thanks Rudy and Eric!

I've got WIPs on both:

Nelson: http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=160389

Iowa: http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=158134

I like the Pontos stuff A LOT although it is fiddly to work with and their instructions could be better. I did run into some overscaling issues on the Nelson but it isn't detracting much from the ship as a whole.

Very nice work Jason! Unbelievable task you've given yourself on the correction of the Iowa hull but by gosh it looks like it was molded that way. Love the amount of detail in the Nelson superstructure. Very clean. How did you find the Pontos stuff to work with? I have their very extensive set fo the Academy Warspite that I hope to get around to soon. Do you post your work anywhere as a WIP thread?

I realized I haven't shown much of what I'm working on here at FSM so I thought it wouldn't hurt to add some stuff for your entertainment and viewing enjoyment. Unfortunately I have 0 completed builds last year but it wasn't for lack of time spent at my my modeling desk... I've at least a couple hundred hours spent on playing with plastic this year. Stick out tongue

1/200 USS Iowa hull rebuild:

I spent the first few months of 2015 redoing a Trumpter Iowa hull; as it turned out the kit hull was really off-spec so I accepted the challenge of making it "right" and (I think anyway) prety much succeeded. Here's what I ended up with:

After that descent into madness I was totally burned out on modeling and took the summer off from the hobby.

When fall rolled around I was ready to pick back up but I chose to put the Iowa aside and start over with a new 1/200 battleship and a fresh philosophy on the hobby to combat my burnout. Here's my HMS Nelson + Pontos detail set at the end of the year with a (mostly) finished superstructure:

... and vs my 1/200 USS Arizona:

Hopefully when 2017 rolls around I'll be able to show you at least one finished big battleship; I have a couple smaller projects I'd like to knock out too. Thanks for looking!
