Future floor wax question
Posted by spiralcity on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 12:03 PM

Hi all,

I never use this stuff, but I scratched my canopy and decided ti dip it in future. Should I let it sit at least 24 hours before masking it?

Yes.

BTW another benefit is that if somehow the masking or painting is messed up, dipping the whole thing in Windex will strip both the paint and the Future and you can try again.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I would let it sit for AT LEAST 24 hours, and I would also put it in some kind of container that will protect it from dust settling on it. I like to use old Gladware containers that you get some of the sliced sandwich meats in at the grocery stores here in the States. I will also usually place a piece of paper towel in the bottom to wick away any excess Future from the edges of the canopy.

I second both replies, from my own experience.
