A modeling gallery?

I have my own website, built with a software system. have also hand built a few. The easiest as several have mentioned is to use flickr if you just want to share some photos.

Free photo sharing sites - create albums by date and/or project:

Free blogging sites - chronological posts:

I use Flickr. It's hooked with Yahoo.

I only post the completed pictures and you can invite others to "follow" you so they get notified whne you add new pictures. Also other Flickr users can view your albums.

Others can see your builds, You can link the pictures to forums, and if you want you can order posters, wall art, and a hard cover photobook.

Yeah man, right here! Its called a modeling forum. Although this pitiful format does not have a  completions gallery sub-forum...

 

 

 

 

I can't quite see the point of those. If you have done a WiP thread, then your completed build will be there. If not, you just post your completed build in the relevant section. The one i have seen with seperate completions galleries tend to one one for each section, which just means your doubling everything up.

And i have seen complaints from otehr that they would rather see the whole build than just the completed pics, this is one of the criticisims leveled at GB's.

Well, i think what you were asking about is a bit differant from what nathan was suggesting. You can simply create a thread to show some of your builds if you wish. But i have noticed a number of people have their own websites and post there work as well as tips.

Set up your own website and put the addie in your signature area. Look at John Eaton's; "jeaton" the username here. A good model.

This forum gets clunky with galleries. On your own website you can add all the commentary you want, have sub galleries and also a discussions thread.

No, I don't have one...

As for albums in photobucket- a must. I admit to liking to go through other folks bucket accounts when they have it "all in one". Some weird stuff.

Several great ideas here! I see the tab in my photobucket account to create an album! I could also do a WIP post in the chopper section, or I guess whatever I am currently working on.

The album idea would be great if I were actually able to edit my signature and I could include the link... But then I haven't been able edit my signature since the last so-called "upgrade".

Yeah, with a Photobucket account, you could create an "album" with pics of all your models and post a link to a slideshow of the builds.  Just a thought...

Jimbo, it looks like you've been in a couple of Group Builds so you know how to post pics of your builds.  You can always start a post  just to post pics of your completed builds.  Lots of members do it buy just starting a post "My latest build" and adding a few lines about the build like where there were problems or how great the kit was to build. I guess if you have a photobucket or facebook account you could post a link to access that account.
