Seriously though. A friend and I decided to ride down to AMPS Atlanta this past weekend and do some vendor snooping as well as admire some amazing work in armor and also some museum quality figures that the AMFS show always has. Normally we go down and spend the night and compete with it being a 2 almost 3 day affair. I'm really glad we didn't this year! The vendor selection was honestly the worst that I have seen at any show. There was only one vendor, Freetime Hobbies, that had really brought any models!!! I'd say that 80% of the rest of them were selling the plastic toy soldiers, pre painted figures, and the Forces of Valor line of 'toys'. It was quite a disappointment as this show in the past has rocked!  Has anyone else seen this with regular shows in their areas? Maybe we are just experiencing a down couple of years with the Atlanta show, who knows.

And yes, I truly only came back with 2 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Thin Mints and Do-si-dos. They are all gone now.Embarrassed

That is too funny! Our AMPS monthly chapter meets usually have a pretty good swap meet just from members stashes. At least you got your "Dark Side Cookies".

Hey Eric,

Did you buy the cookies from this girl scout?

I was at the Nats last summer, my first, the vendor areas were amazing. I'm sorry to hear it wasn't good at the Atlanta show.

That's genius, right there! If ya can't beat em, take their money!

Yes, the vendors were quite good! What was there...5,6,7 rooms???

I am planning on the Nats this year and am excited about the vendor turnout. The first 2-3 years of AMPS Atlanta was excellent in the vendor category. Not sure why its been so bad the last couple.

Yours were my thoughts, exactly, Fermis! I even texted my daughter, predicting the girl scout will be a billionaire by age 40. Several rooms indeed. Big rooms! Wish I knew you were down there, darn it. Being my first convention, the vendor rooms were the darndest thing I'd ever seen.

Eric, now I know you wouldn't do such a thing. :)

BTW, this was even funnier to me since I was just in Oregon for the first time last October.

Where are the nats this year, Eric? I do hope you enjoy as much as I did Columbus or Dayton or whevever the heck we were last fall. Cool you are planning to go.

Oh, that's right! Thanks for the reminder, Eric.

SC has been on my visit list for several years, what a wonderful excuse.

Thanks, Eric. I just reserved a room, just in case.

They (rooms) are going fast already and I'm already a mile away from the convention center.
