Yup !

That is indeed what this short post will be about ! They have a program of activities that are community oriented .The co-ordinator asked me about it . When I told her I build models , She asked if this was something that could be taught in a short ( read four to six weeks ) program .

I assured her it could . Then she asked about the inherent difficulties involved in building a model . I told her that is what " Snap - Kits " are for.

Each person could pick out a Car , Tank , Plane or so on and a basic paint set .The primary job would be neat assembly and nice paint work .

I assured her it might be a good idea . What do you all think ? Keeping it simple and have fun or -- . Your input would be appreciated .      Tanker - Builder

TB -

That's great...if you can pass on and teach such a wonderful hobby and help people at the same time it's a win-win to me.

Sounds like a great idea to me as well.  Teach a skill that can be used for physical and mental therapy and have fun to boot.  Can't see a down side except some spilled paint and glue fumes!

You could also hav ethem do a little research into the subject that they could pass along to the others.

You could also have a contest at the end with a simple trophy or two.

I like the idea!

However! I wish this were in jest but I'm dead serious.

You would need some type of fume removal system, non toxic "green" glue/paint, and non allergenic neoprene type gloves. Don't even think about not having an MSDS folder with info about all the chemicals to be used.

Also, everyone would get a trophy, even if they don't complete the course. Each trophy would be identical with wording claiming the receipient was the best in the entire universe.

Failure to provide these services could place you and your organization to possible criminal and civil penalities.

I love the idea, should we start calling you Doctor TB now? Stick out tongue

Though the way things are today Mitsdude is probably right considering everyone being lawsuit crazy anymore.

Then " Let's Build "      T.B.
