I received a nice gift from Squadron today!

A P-61 book for Max! (And promo).

I received a nice hard cover book on the M151 and letter with 15% offer with promo code.  A nice surprise.

Yep, so far I've received a nice book about the USS Kidd, which led me to buy a square bridge Fletcher from Amazon, and a M1 Abrams in action book, which went on the shelf.

That book did have a lot of good photos of crews changing the power units.

Yeah, I got the PzKpfw 39(t) book.  I haven't ordered in over 3 years, either.  It's of a piece with Squadron sending the catalog to people who didn't subscribe to it, after they announced that you could pay to get the previously free catalog.  It's a marketing gimmick.  It'll probably drum up some business, though it doesn't change my buying habits.  I don't buy from Squadron too often, because they don't often have things that I want, that I can't find elsewhere for a lower price and/or with faster delivery.  But I don't build a lot of new kits, and I build some subjects that are so specialized that sources are limited (eg, Maschinen Krieger).

I got a nice book from them a while back on the HE-111 with a note saying it was a free gift.

I did, too. Quite a nice surprise! A hardbound B-26 "walkaround" book. Very nice. Totally unexpected. I have ordered from them a lot over the years, it's just been a while. They also gave me a coupon code for 15% off orders.

Well it was in my name and I did not order anything recently.The letter indicated that they missed me and included a coupon but it is a nice gesture and I am inclined to order something in appreciation.

Last year they sent me a nice M-41 Walker Bulldog Walkaround book, just out of the blue!  It was a bit disconcerting though as that is the only armor kit I have in the stash.   Geez, have they been window-peeping?
