Well, from my experience, well, I fail to see this type of thing as an objective medium. Whenever I tried to make an entry I was "drummed out" by insiders connected with the forum initiator, who in one case excluded my entry by changing the rules after my submission. In another case, I had a bunch of "expert model builders", not aircraft structural engineers, critisize my work, which was/is still very accurate. So go figure and why bother?

Just an observation. If you need to do ballot stuffing to win a contest, is the win really deserved?

Mrchntmarine
Not on FB, so I couldn't vote. But, i liked the cockpit detail and the outside grime looked realistic based on my very limited experience. I'd like to know how to do decals like that. Tks.

I am not on FB either and liked it.

BTW, Mrchntmarine, jast thought to say hi as I am a former merchant marin myself Toast

The white went away in the early 1980's This is the last scheme before they went to the lo-vis. When I was on the cruise, at the start in January 1983 all the planes were color schemes. When the world cruise ended in October all the planes except "00" of each squadron were lo-vis scheme.

It looks good but I would have thought that the flaps and bottom would be white in this time period.

But, what would I know, I was in a F-106 squadron at this time.
