Hello everyone :
I sadly have to report the demise of the S.S. Breadbox . That is my pet name for my model hauling , train carrying , LEGO transporting Vehicle . She suffered an oblique attack from an errant BMW V-8 powered sport sedan .The Impact deleted the steering function and after a half spin had me go through the left rear quarter of a parked car . So Not ONE side but both sides !
The Breadbox , mortally wounded kept her strength till they got me out .Then the drivers side tire went flat as brake fluid leaked from an unknown source below . I am going to miss the old girl .129,898 miles trouble free till the last three months .Sure she was getting on.
But , you know , she was paid for , which made her the most beautiful car on the road in my eyes ! Now I have to deal with Lawyers and insurance companies . Jeez , I am gonna miss her . I suffered many bruises and a rung bell etc. But no life threatening wounds .
Oh , Boy the pain is gonna hit then .The doc said every place that contacted something will be in Full Hurt mode ! I don't look forward to that . Well , now I have to find another vehicle that will haul those beautiful boxes of plastic to the veterans and for me too of course .
I like vehicles that allow me to sneer at the weather and keep them morsels of three dimensional miniature history dry and ready to get built . A lot of them .Plus the " Breadbox " got 27 mpg when my neighbor's Hyundai coupe only gets 21 and doesn't hold as much as the "box " did . .
Ah Well , I'll be writing a lot so get ready for big and little tid-bits , as I'll have the time to think about them . Tanker - Builder
