Nicely done, and very nicely presented as well.

That looks like a good year to me. Yes

Hey thanks guys!!!

Femis: I don't think anyone would mind, we have way too many deer around here as it is.

Toshi: Wow, glad you liked it. The Torii gate was a bunch of stuff I threw together from the hardware store- pretty much a project in itself.

And to be honest, I think the figures probably held me up more than the bases. I love adding them since I think it does add a human element to the model but they take a lot of time to paint.

I did finish up this 1/35th more or less Albertosaur today so I guess I can add him to the 2016 builds...

Wow, Gamera!  You just brought tears to my eyes when I saw the diorama with the Torii!  That is just beautiful!  You brought back fond memories from my time spent in Japan, it was so beautiful!

Cliff,

I really like the Type 3 and Type 5! You have done an outstanding job on the figures! IMHO, 5 completions is a productive year! I'm looking forward to your 2017 builds.

Looks pretty productive to me Cliff. I like that Japanese Dio. Turned out well.

They all look great and 5 complete armor dio's in 1/35 is a good effort for a 12 month time frame imo. I barely did 3 dio's! I'm trying to finish one more today or tomorrow. I'm lazy'r

Thanks guys, ya'll do have a point on the dios. And I'm happy with how everything turned out except the pigments on the T-62 and I tried something new there and learned something so it was worth it.

And I had fun building all of them, which is the important part isn't it? Wink

In my universe dio's count as two,so you hit your target of 10, of which I'll take any one of them proudly, very nice work.

Great builds there G, and nice subjects as well. Doing Dio'sdoes take a bit more time doesn't it. I reckon i could have added another 5 or 6 this year if it wasn'tfor the bases. But where would the fun be in that.

Thats a years worth to be proud of.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Hey thanks guys, ya'll are too kind. Yeah I'm a little tired of the same old thing and have been going for stuff a little more off the wall. And the bases do take some time but not that much.

I suppose I shouldn't complain. About two-thirds of the folks in my IPMS club don't build anything. They just collect kits and talk about all the great stuff they're going to build one day... Confused

With all of them mounted in a setting, that is still a decent years work.  I only managed two, and might make the end of the year with another, but doubt it.  Have 4 others started in various stages, but none over 25%.

Gamera, that's a very nice collection of armor kits! None of them run of the mill or cliche subjects and all dioramas no less!  You guys are making me feel ashamed!  Embarrassed

My (rather short) collection of finished builds for 2016...
Posted by Gamera on Thursday, December 29, 2016 6:13 PM

I didn't get much built in 2016, not really sure why just lazy I guess. Sleep

I aim for about ten and finished five... Embarrassed

FineMolds Type 3 Chi-Nu medium tank with FineMolds Japanese Army figures:

The biggest diorama I've constructed to date, so maybe I could count this as 2-3 finished models? FineMolds Type 5 Chi-Ri:

Trumpeter B-4 203mm Soviet howitzer. Never posted this on the armour forum, I couldn't find the wheeled trolley or whatever you call it that rides in front of the gun and intended to take more photos when I did. Never got around to it though:

Trumpeter T-62 MBT. Never posted this one either. I hated the way the pigments I used came out and was thinking of scubbing them off and starting over. That was in Feb. so I guess I'll just leave them as is:

And finally Trumpeter's Type 62 Chinese light:
