Having passed this Christmas without any new kits, yesterday the postal carrier had to hand deliver my mail due to 2 packages too large for the mailbox. Long story short, 1: Merit's 1:350 Ark Royal,2: Zvezda's 1:35 T-35. In addition he handed me my bills AND new issue of FSM, with reviews of the two kits . What are the chances?

Yeah, I am starting a savings campaign to put some money aside for that one.

I won't even open it, for fear of ruining it already.

I do believe it's best to open it now and inventory the parts to make sure all are accounted for. You don't want to deal with missing parts months from now while you can get  a quick replacement from the shop you bought it from. It hapenned to me when I ordered the Kitty Hawk F9 and F94 from Squadron. The F94 was missing the PE fret and a quick call to Squadron got me the replacement fret a few days later.

Sorry, a little self-denigration. I did open both kits and a cursory perusal confirms all sprues accounted for. I do appreciate the kind reminder. Thanks PJ.

I had a read of the review on the site earlier, look really nice. Some good pointers when it comes to building it as well.

Every little bit will help. It currently rests as number 4 on the pile of 1:350th's to do. All the kits I purchased to practice on are done, my current Buffalo being the first non-practice kit. I had 1 more soft armor kit left, but the addition of the T-35 has really piqued my interest and may be next. Won't mention the aircraft. Thanks Bish.

You are welcome Templar. A while back that hapenned to me. I ordered the kit, got it and never opened it till 2 years later and surprise! The canopy was cracked. I contacted the on line shop where I got it from and was told I waited too long.

Ended up buying a vac formed one from Squadron after never getting a response from Trumpeter.
