Need an assist from anybody out there who has built a 1/350 New Orleans class cruiser using White Ensign photo etch set 35109. I did a double-take while forming the crane jibs (part 55), since one of the jib frames at the post end is solid and the other is not.
My first thought was that this was a manufacturing error, but when I checked the White Ensign website and pulled up a photo of the PE set, it appears as though this is the way it was designed. I have not been able to locate any reference photos that indicate that this is an accurate depiction of the crane jib.
Can anyone help - is there a reference showing this design to be correct, or am I going to have to improvise and fill in the PE gap?
