Hasagawa Akagi
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, March 22, 2004 11:51 AM
Hi everybody, just got my allowance and picked up the Hasagawa Akagi in 1/450 scale. On first inspection the details look fine and the overall shape is good, but I noticed that it has mountings for batteries and prop/motor combination in the hull. Does that mean that it is an old kit? Is it ok ? I have no information on this kit and would appreciate any input.Smile [:)]

The Akagi from Hasegawa is atleast 15 years old ( its in all my old catalogues dating back to 1990 ) I haven't build it so I can't tell you if its good or bad but I have never had trouble with Hasegawa. Just because there is room for batteries and motor doesn't mean its a bad kit many of the old kits from Tamiya had the same features, the Centurion tank had it but its still a great kit. Just go ahead and build it, maybe someone in the ship forum can help you. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]
