Thought this was a good LHS score

Went to the LHS today for paint and glue. No glue, barely found the paint, but then I saw this 48th scale Hasegawa kit for $15. Incomplete it said, missing instructions. Surely more was missing, but uh-uh, complete kit with no instructions. I can't remember ever getting one this cheap.

Yes sir, nicely done.  A quick email to Hase should take care of that issue, or if someone has a set they can copy.  Might even get lucky and find a pdf file of them.

Fortunately, I've built a few already, so I kinda know what I'm in for, or as my lovely bride says, "It's not like you listen to directions anyway" Whistling

That's one hell of a bargain. I bet you can get instructions from a few different online sites. Excellent find!

Does that kit come with ordnance ? Or do you have to buy the 1/48 weapons set ? I have been told some of the Hasegawa kits can be a bit light on underwing stores.

Wirraway, it does come with ordnance for a late 70's /early 80's load out along with droptanks and Sparrows/Sidewinders, which is unusual for Hasegawa, but welcome. The centerline tank is a typical Phantom tank, but I understand that the G models used the F-15 tanks for the greater g-load limit.

Yes, the F-4G used the F-15 type centerline tank.

Wow, what a great score for $15.00!  That's awesome, congratulations on that purchase.  As you have mentioned, you're already familiar with this kit and I'm sure you'll be able to find the instructions online, if not someone with the instructions from a forum member.

Thanks for the confirmation, Stik; I raided the spares box for that Tamiya F-15 tank from an earlier build!

Toshi, after not being able to find one for less than  $30, I can fly with no chute for 15!

Mississippi

Great buy.  I'm not home right now  but I think I can get you the instructions. Let ya know later.

I built that one a while back and it was an excellent kit.

If PJ, can do it, I have the same kit with instructions and the color instructions. I can scan them at any time.

Hogfanfs

I'm helping my son move and looks like a long night and won't be home for a spell so by all means jump in and help out Mississippi with the scan. I was going to check a website I have saved in my favorites at home for the same thing.

Mississippi,

If you can hang on until tomorrow, I can scan the instructions at work. I apologize, my home scanner is not quite big enough to scan the whole sheet. The instruction page is slightly larger than 8 1/2 x 11 and it's messing up the scans. If you want shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send it to you in the morning.
