Dealing with Italeri's very poor instructions.

I'm building Italeri's 1/24th Magirus Deutch 360 canvas box truck.  This is a new kit of a terrific subject.  The instructions are so bad and vague it is total guesswork on the placement of major parts.  I've rarely seen anything this bad in over 30 years of modeling.

The sequence of construction and painting make this a kit for the advanced anyway, yet it is a bear of a kit.  I'll do a complete review with photos at some point.

I'm also building the 1/48th Italeri Osprey and that was vague in places as well,  but there are plenty of real world reference photos of that aircraft to help.

The truck not so much. Gluing the big box to the chassis is total guesswork, which is just wrong when you pay $60. retail.

If they take to the time to make such a nice kit, why make it like a root canal to build it?

Honestly it makes you appreciate Tamiya even more.

What irks me more is their crappy, full of flash plastic. Subtle warps here and there and no positive fit for major parts. On top of that they charge double the price for Revell quality plastic.

I wasn't going to mention it Nathan but the chassis parts had seam lines so pronounced it must have taken 3 hours to file/sand all of them out. I couldn't believe it.
