Post War RAF Ground Equipment
Posted by TallRider67 on Friday, March 3, 2017 12:11 AM

Has anyone ever made post war 1/72 ground equipment, like nuclear weapons trolleys, Blue Steel carrier, etc? Or are there good drawings available?

I think Airfix did some stuff that might fit that description. Then look at companies like Flightpath and Aeroclub for AM stuff in that genre.

A lot of the flightpath stuff is yes, though some of it would be used post war. But most of the AIM stuff is post war. They do have the Blue Steel bomb trolley due out. Infortunatly ground equipment has for a long time poorly represented. But in the last few years the options have grown hugely. But of courser the main focus has been on WW2 German and modern US, so the poor old RAF gets over looked.

I replied to this at the IPMS forum, but in case you don't check that one daily (I don't), there is one coming.

Thank you, that's what I'm talking about! Blue Steel lorry is a start, whenever it comes out. I suggested to them the trolley-lifter for the gravity nukes too. With all three V-Bombers out now, and the bombs from Belcher Bits, it just makes sense.

Your welcome. And they willalso have the Blue Steel bomb trolley to go with the transporter. They have been releaseing a lot more ove rthe last couple of years since they started. It might not hurt to send AIM an e-mail and ask if any are in the pipeline.

You're welcome, I had run across it by accident a while back. When I saw your post it took me forever to recall where I had seen it. I was surprised it was still listed as a future release. Thought it would be out by now.
