Anyone keep old decal sheets for 1:32 Typhoon Eurofigher (Revell 04855)
Posted by Tubosteve on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 5:15 PM

Dear Community,

I have just started decalling my Eurofighter.......and OMG, the first decal was soaked in Humbrol Clear and not Decalfix! A really, REALLY stupid mistake, picked up the wrong bottle and never realised until the decal went all gooey and useless. Typically, it was the large tail fin decal (couldnt have been somethig less conspicuous could it) :(

Revell tell me the model is discontinued and that they do not carry spare decal sheets any more so I am reaching out to see if anyone may have decalled the RAF version and therefore have the German decals left over somewhere. It is decal #4 on the sheet.

Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated

Steve

Just a 'bump' to bring this back to the top to see if anyone can help. As Revell cannot help (discontinued model and no stock with them) is there anywhere else I could try?

You could always scan and print a new one if you can't source a new sheet.  Assuming you have not applied the other one yet, scan it into your computer.  Open it into any good photo editing program.

You can then copy the individual decal out of the scanned image, paste into a new file, reverse the image so it faces the right way, clean up any stray pixels, remove the blue color of the backing paper and print on decal paper.  Heck copy and print the entire sheet and now you have backups.

If the image you posted is a high res image you can use it to print after doing the steps above.
