Plastic Model on TV- Madame Secretary
Posted by Don Stauffer on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 2:10 PM

Did anyone else see Tim Daley (Secretary of State's Husband) building the Renwal Visible V8 Sunday night!  He had lots of time, recovering from bullet wounds. It was realistic, with him and the son trying to keep the thing running on the electric motor, due to too much friction!  They even mentioned the kit was a Renwal.

Yep I saw that. He was using the Testors blue glue tube and wood clothes pins as clamps.

That was the cover story so as not to alarm the kids.  The shooting was part of his government gig.

You guys are hoot. I love how the topic turned to crushes. I'll go with Angie Dickensen and, Lisa from Hee Haw. Loved Hee Haw for the girls. Oh, and lets not forget all the women of Star Trek.

I'm finally caught up with my "The Walking Dead" watching on Netflix.  I saw the episode where one young man used a model airplane to kill a zombie!  Might have been an F-4 Phantom but I can't remember.

And for me, it was, is, and shall forever be, Mariska Hargitay.

LOL!  Oh you know....it was your usual zombie kill shot:  An F-4 radome straight to the eye.  If the builder used a clear coat on the Phantom, there should be no problem cleaning it off with a mild soapy solution.

Had to dvr  the show, just got to watch it, so thanks for not totally spoiling it.

They had it running at the end of the show, but weren't sure where the smoke was coming from.

Do any of you watch Hawaii 5-0 with all the different ship models on shelves around the 5-0 main office?

Yes, some real beauts there!  And, I forget whose office, but one of the offices in Madame Secretary has a nice ship model.

I think in the original show there was a good sized sailing ship in Jack Lord's office. I saw a couple of the new one and didn't like it.

Like Lucille Ball said in an interview when asked how she would feel if they ever did a remake of I Love Lucy. She simply replied that you cannot remake a classic.

I have been wathcing "Last Man Standing" on Hulu and noticed a number of scenes in Tim Allen's office, along with his Ham radio shack, in the opposite corner, he is building model tanks and what looks like either a B-29 or B-17 in 1/72.  Tamiya paints are all over the desk.  His Outdoor Man office looks like an office at FSM.

Wait till you see the one where he buys a huge tank collection from a widow (Patricia Richrdson who played his wife in Home Improvement ) All sorts of tanks in that episode. I love watching Last Man Standing.
