I did just get the Eduard one but it is just to small and to expensive to make a nice diorama out of.  I may try photocoping and then work with that but still looking.

You could try using the Eduard piece as a template, too, and then making more by casting them.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOMS-MODEL-WORKS-1-32-WWII-Marston-Steel-Runway-Matting-TMW513-/321924567752

It's spelled "Marston", not "Marsden", however that's a common term and some of the vendors seem to spell it wrong which just makes the search harder.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I got one from Squadron a while back. It was OOS but they sent it out about a week later. I don't think it stays on the shelf for long. Makes a real nice base.

in the article on page 30 (Power up a P-51) there is a reference on page 34 to pierced-steel planking which i have been trying to find.  I checked Squadron's web site but have not located the product from Custom Dioramics (no. CD48559).  Looking in the planking in 1:32 or 1:48.  Any ideas wherre to find it?

You could try eBay, too, if you don't get it from Squadron (it's showing as "in stock soon" right now).  I got mine off Ebay, for less than retail, even with shipping. I think I searched on "marston mat" or "psp", I don't recall, offhand, but I do know that it only took a search or two.

It may be your search term, try useing PSP or Marsden matting. That CD item is a complete base. Eduard has PE PSP in 48th and Brengun and flightpath have it in 32nd.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
