Flikr help
Posted by DiscoStu on Thursday, October 12, 2017 7:12 PM

Been a while since I’ve posted pics.  I was using Photobucket but that’s no longer an option.  Is there a tutorial on how to add pics to posts using Flikr?

5High and Disco,

YouTube has 4 videos on how to upload and use Flicker. Just type in how to use Flicker. I just checked for you and they are available. Good luck

Let me know if you are still having trouble. I might be able to help. Once you learn it it's very easy to do.

I use Postimage. Far easier to use.

There is a forum called Forum Technical Assistance, down below in the

Feedback, Help and Testing

section of these Finescale Modeler forums. It has had a number of threads recently on posting images, since the changes at Photobucket.  Check there and see if there are any about Flicker- if not, raise the question.  Lot of good people there that know the ins and outs of photo hosting and posting.

BTW, I am one of those who have gone to Postimage, and am very satisfied with it.

Thanks all.  I think I got it figured out from good ol' YouTube.  Thanks for the help!

Now that you've figured it out, I am ok to post my original thought:

Start with a visit to a liquor store.

I am in you shoes, ex PB user, new Flickr user and I find Flickr to be about the most counter-intuitive piece of crap GUI ever. Had I realised it was associated with Yahoo, I'd never have gone that route.

I tried out Postimage and Sheep appears to be right, it took me about 30 seconds to sign up, sign in and upload 2 images. Posting appears very straighforward.

Good luck, and mostly, as I said, glad you got it sorted.
