HI;

   I do have to remind all of you car lovers .The Batmobile ( original edition ) was a defilement of the wonderful Lincoln Futura from the Ford ( Rotunda ) traveling dream car exhibit . Also starred in a movie I believe .

   I think most of the rest have hit the Market more than once . As for mister Barris . In the car community he was possibly respected . I cannot say . I do know my employer at the time had patent and plagierism problems with the Barris company .

   We built two cars that were designed by Him . But , I do know that he did nothing more than design them . Neither saw the inside of his shop .  that said , He was prolific on his own and those have to be appreciated for what they represented .

   A break from the norm and gorgeous projects in their own right . I do have all thos e models and will have them included in my estate , Unbuilt and in the original boxes .  T.B.

I've got the Futura in my line up for MM 4

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Here is a link to the truck. Originally an MPC kit from 1968, it was reissued probably over 10 years ago. https://www.amazon.com/The-Beverly-Hillbillies-1-25-AMT/dp/B0006GDUK0

There's the old Monkees mobile, Grandpa's Dragula, and other TV vehicles that MPC did as well as AMT. I remember when Walmart carried these for $9.98 or something like that.

I saw the Batmobile and green Hornet each w it's own kit but would love to see a multi pack. Never knew Hillbillies had a kit. I'll have to check it out.

They've all been recently reissued by Polar Lights, AMT, Round2, etc. I have most of these kits in reissue form. Just don't have the Munsters vehicle, but I have the Batmobile, AMT Hillbillies' truck (2 in 1 kit) that builds into the hotrod Jethro built to race granny or into the regular truck. And the Black Beauty by Polar Lights, old aurora kit reissued.

I do know the Batmobile, The Munsters Drag-u-la, and the Beverly Hillbillies truck did come out as a model kit. Nothing new but you have to know where to find it. eBay is one place to look.

I was looking at George Barris' famous TV and movie cars and thought how cool it would be if Moebus or someone came out w a 3 or 4 pack of Barris' famous cars. Maybe Batmobile, Green Hornet, Munster and Beverly Hillbillies. It would be sweet especially in a collectible tin w original artwork. Any thoughts?
