Seems like every other day, I get an e-mail from Squadron announcing a new "Sale!"

It's like the old standing joke we have in the family:  "Look, there's a sale at Kohl's!"

 

In the 1990s, Squadron used to run the "Bruce Beamish 24 hour email special" that offered deep discounts on a couple of good kits. They warned the special would end early if someone posted a message alerting anyone on the main modeling "forum" of the day, rec.models.scale.

So to circumvent this, we used the line from a long distance service commercial, "Weaddababyeetzaboy!", but they caught on to that thinly veiled rouse and even used it once or twice to alert everyone to a hot item being sold cheaply.

I did a quick search and the last BB special was 2001.

Lol! Years ago we had a very big furniture store in Miami called Levitz and just about every other month they had the "Once in a Lifetime Sale" . Then they went to the "Sale of the Century" a few times a year!

Meh... Squadron has a sale as well - up to 85% on over 2800 items. 

 

 

 

 

Yeah, but most of it will be out of stock.

 

That's very true And the 85% off items are just a few. 

Just saw the SB sale and they have some nice Dragon armor with deep discounts. I would have nabbed the 505 group KT but just got one from Takom with a full interior.

I hope it is OK to post this, but I got an email from Sprue Brothers, and they are having a 50% off sale on selected kits and accessories.  Took a quick look, and there are interesting kits from Dragon and Italeri, as well as some Bronco workable tracks.

Thought some folks might be interested.
