Keep in mind that there is a forum especially for painting and airbrushing problems down below. Some very good airbrush experts hang out there, so if you don't get enough help in this forum, be sure to check with the Painting and Airbrush forum.

Your description of the problem sounds like it's with the thinner to me. I'm sure some other guys will come up with their opinions too.
A good idea is to go to the paint section of these forums. Lots of knowledgeable people there always ready to help out.
Good luck.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
GMorrison Was your half inch of thinner the same thinner?

Yes same stuff.

Hi,
Used my Badger Anthem 155 airbrush for the first time today. When I was done I took it apart to clean it and noticed that the paint around the needle was almost rubbery and the same for the paint left in the nozzle.
I used Model Masters Gloss Enamel and thinned it with Testors Paint Thinner. The paint did thin out when I added the thinner to it in the bottle.
When I was done spraying I put a diferent bottle on the brush with about a half inch of thinner and ran about half through the ait brush. When the siphon hose was clear I stopped.
Is this stretchy (pardon the phrase but snot like) consistancy had me wondering what I did wrong.
Thank you in advance for the help.
Joe
