IIRC, the DC-3 was used with floats at one point in time.  There was also a plan to do the Cessna 337/Skymaster with floaty things, but they couldn't overcome water/spray issues with the rear prop.

Hi;

 You know , I thought I was off my rocker . I found a plane in my Squadron catalogue . It was called a WildCatFish and it was a Wildcat on floats !

 I have done this with a lot of planes . Some , It was just to see what they'd look like .

 Now , somehow I seem to have collected a lot of aircraft floats . So , I have fun with this from time to time . I am thinking about taking my 1/48 Feisler Storch and fit it with floats as well as a D.C.- 3 .

 When you look at that Cessna , Piper or something else , Try to visualize it with floats and go for it !
