I have stuff from both companies I like both of their books and mags both are very informative. When it comes to weathering products I like mig better except for mud effects I go with aks. Pigments, washes, filters etc again mig. Best thing to do is to experiment with them yourself and pick the ones you like best. I use mig because it's easier for me to get then ak products.

Pretty much the same stuff,at one time Mig Jimenez had one and then the other, now he is with Mig Ammo, his products and techniques are impressive.I use whatever is readily available and whatever fits my needs at the time,so I have some of each product. There are many other companies many swear by,many like mixing their own stuff.

AK vs Mig

Hello, I was going to pick up the AK's FAQ 2, heard it was a good book on weathering. Also, saw several weathering magazines produced by both AK and Mig. It appears they produce similar magazines around the same price point. Both AK and Mig have mags on rust, dirt, damage, etc.

Does anyone have experience with both lines and can advise which company produces better weathering magazines?
