BlackSheepTwoOneFour

I don’t see any images posted by your Photobucket account. Time to find another photo hosting site. Photobucket sucks nowadays. Nobody is using PB anymore. Their $400 a year to use their site has everyone ditching them enmass when they started pulling their crap a couple years ago. Photobucket got greedy and stopped offering free photohosting.

My advice, dump them like the plague and find another photo hosting site. By now, they’ve held all your photos hostage and you’ll never get them back. They’re Photobucket’s property now.

Ok, wasn`t understanding the PB ransom thing until now, mainly because I was seeing the pics. That said, I`m using Flickr and 1943Mike has sent me instructions on how to use it. Thanks for helping guys, hopefully I have it now.

So I posted a picture of my tank in this thread. I`m sitting here looking at it, so I know I must`ve done something right. Why others can`t see it, I have no clue. Let me know if you guys see it please.

This is,what we see. Photobucket does not allow 3rd party hosting from their free accounts anymore. This happened last year and there was a huge uproar. All of  our pics were no longer on the forums and got a banner just like the one I see here.  Find a different hosting site. We all did.  Unless you want to pay Photobuckets ransom of $400 per year

It looks like it's working on your other thread in Armor.

EDIT: Weird, now it doesn't show up, but I swear I saw a  yellow tank!

Well, I`m done. Tried more times than I care to mention and all failed. Maybe someday, when they make it as easy here as posting pics on the Facebook groups I belong to, I`ll be back.

Really? I just posted my picture from Photobucket. Had to open the image, right click and copy image address, then paste in insert image window...worked like a charm. Still free , and if they try to charge me, I have a Flickr account now. The only thing I have to work out now is the image dimension...they either look tall and skinny or short and fat...lol. I never really had an issue with Photobucket in the past, I just couldn`t remember how to post pics. Hopefully Finescale will find a hosting site that works well with the forums here.

Photobucket changed. They now charge extra to enable third party hosting. A lot extra, like $ 400 a year extra.

Extract your files from them and find another share site.

Ok, so we know what I`m doing wrong, can you explain what I need to do to make it work? PB gives you 3 options next to your image...Direct, HTML and IMG. Last time I posted a pic in here, 5yrs or so ago, I copied and pasted the IMG in the direct link window and the picture was there. Maybe something has changed since I`ve been gone? When I do the same thing in the Insert Image window, nothing happens.
Ok...got the pic in here, now I need to figure out what the dimension numbers should be. Found the answer in another thread.

The problem is that you cant insert the picture. The insert window is for inserting the URL of the image, where ever it happens to be stored on a website.

I'm using Fotki and like it just fine.

I used Photobucket last I was here. I can`t see the picture in the forum thread, but I do see it in my email notification..? I kinda remember copying the IMG and pasting it in the insertion window before, so that`s what I did this time. I`ll give Flikr a try I suppose but I`m sure it`s something I`m not doing right. Is there a forum post on adding images? Just need to be walked through once to jog my memory...lol.

Did you upload the picture to a photo hosting website or copying the file saved to your computer? If the former, what website is the host? If the latter, you need to create an account at one of the many free photo hosting website such as Flickr, stay away from Photobucket
