Help! Drawing a blank
Posted by Souda99 on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 9:21 PM

Hey folks,

It's been about 2 years since I was on the forums, been busy with work and the wife and I decided to have a baby. So I hoping for some guidance here, I'm sure there is a more specific section in the forums but for the life of me I'm having a blonde moment here...lol. So the other day I came up with the brilliant idea to start building the carriers that served in Vietnam in 1/700 scale. So I was looking for and found some aircraft need for this today from Pit Road/Skywave, the wife was like grab a couple kits for now and we will order more in a few weeks. The problem I'm running into is that it seems Pit Road/Skywave accessory kits are almost unobtainable. So the wife is like buy a couple of kits and then maske resin casts for your project. Question is how would I go about casting the kits to make copies for my personal use? I know the basics when it comes to casting, but with the small size of 1/700 scale would it be better to use a syringe to inject the resin into the mold to minimize air bubbles in the resin or the standard method. Thanks for the help and patents.
